Unlocking Circularity

Digital surveying and
potential analysis

orto is an interdisciplinary specialist, integrating building data in collaborative workflows.

We reconstruct and model existing buildings using scan technologies and construction analysis methods to enable sustainable decisions for planners and developers.

Since 2022, we foster collaboration in 3D building data with our software orto space, bringing precision where it matters most – at the beginning of the planning process.

We can't afford not to do it.

We are architects, sustainability manager, software developer, and designer. We work at these intersections to make planning and developing in existing buildings easier.

To make the potential of data sustainably usable, we develop our services and software in close collaboration with industry clients, as well as technology and research partners.

    • Climate adaptation in urban development and spatial planning

    • Participation in climate-sensitive urban design

    • Influence of climate change perceptions on everyday practices

These and other questions are addressed by the project led by Professor Tatjana Schneider from the Institute for History and Theory of Architecture and Urban Planning at TU Braunschweig. The project is funded by the Climate Future Labs initiative from the Ministry of Science and Culture of Lower Saxony with €5 million from 2024 to 2030.

    About the Consortium
orto supports TU Braunschweig, Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg, and other industry and research contributors in project, particularly in exploring the potential of digitally supported building and material analysis. orto’s contribution provides the foundation for utilizing the potential of digital reality capture technologies and making data accessible to a broad group of experts and stakeholders.
